County Government of Nairobi Plant Operator Jobs in Kenya


Responsibilities

  • Operating heavy construction equipment.
  • Routine checks and maintenance of plant/equipment
  • Keeping monthly records of services of the plants.
  • Preparing monthly and weekly service schedules and ensuring they are followed.

    Qualifications

  • Possess Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Grade ‘D’ Plain or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • A valid Driving License free from any current endorsements for the relevant Class(es) of machines.
  • Be in possession of certificate in plant operator from a recognized institute in Kenya.
  • Have at least three (3) years experience in operating Vibratory Roller and/or Paver.
  • Be in possession of a First Aid Course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John Ambulance or the Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution will be an added advantage.

    Responsibilities

  • Performing specialized functions in preparing and responding to fire/emergency calls in order to ensure loss of life, property or injury as a result of fire is prevented and/or minimized.
  • Responding to emergency calls; laying and connecting hose; holding nozzles and directing water streams; raising and climbing ladders; using extinguishers and other equipment.
    Assisting in rescue operations during emergencies.
  • Operating appliances and communication equipment.
  • Maintenance of equipment in good repair in accordance with county policies and procedures

    Qualifications

  • KCSE Grade D+ (Plus) or its equivalent with relevant qualifications from a reputable fire training school.
  • Be aged between 18 and 28 years for holders of KCSE Examination Certificate or its equivalent, and up to 30 years for diploma holders.
  • Physically and medically fit;
  • Have no criminal record or pending criminal charges.

    County Government of Nairobi Deputy Secretary Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • The Deputy County Secretary will report to the County Secretary and will assist the County Secretary in performing the following functions.
  • Conducting technical research and special studies on policy issues.
  • Supporting in establishing strong linkages between County Departments and external stakeholders.
  • Making a follow up on the outcome and resolutions of Chief Officers’ meetings to ensure implementation.
  • Coordinating County Administrative functions.
  • Preparing and drafting memoranda, Sectoral/Departmental position and concept papers.
  • Assisting in follow-up action on Executive Committee decisions and directives to relevant County Departments.
  • Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the County Secretary.

    Qualifications

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen.
  • Be a holder of a Degree in Social Sciences/Management from a university recognized in Kenya.
  • Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Have served not less than ten (10) years in a Senior Administration and Management position.
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
