Assembly Service Board of Machakos invites applications from suitably Kenyan citizens to fill the following vacant positions.

  • Driver l

    Duties and Responsibilities
  • Driving vehicles as authorized
  • Carrying out routine checks on the vehicles' cooling oil, electrical and brake systems, tyre pressure.
  • Detecting malfunctioning of vehicles system.
  • Maintenance of work tickets for vehicles assigned.
  • Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road.
  • Overseeing safety of the passengers and/or goods therein.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle.
  • Such other relevant duties as may be assigned by the County Assembly Service Board

    Requirements for Appointment

    For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have a minimum of the following

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • Five (5) years' experience as a driver
  • Valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for all the classes of vehicles.
  • First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one week from St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution
  • Proficient in English or Kiswahili Languages.

    Shortlisted candidates MUST meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya on leadership and integrity and will be required to produce clearance compliance certificate from the following agencies

  • Ethics and Anti-coruption commission
  • Higher Education Loans Board
  • Kenya Revenue Authority
  • Credit Reference Bureau
