County Government of Lamu County Public Service Board Member Jobs


Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Chairman County Public Service Board
  • Establish and abolish offices in the county public service;
  • Appoint persons to hold or act in offices of the county public service including in the Boards of cities and urban areas within the county and to confirm appointments;
  • Exercise disciplinary control over, and remove, persons holding or acting in those offices as provided for under this Part;
  • Prepare regular reports for submission to the county assembly on the execution of the functions of the Board;
  • Promote in the county public service the values and principles referred to in Articles 10 and 232;
  • Evaluate and report to the county assembly on the extent to which the values and principles
    referred to in Articles 10 and 232 are complied with in the county public service;
  • Facilitate the development of coherent, integrated human resource planning and budgeting
    for personnel emoluments in counties;
  • Advise the county government on human resource management and development;
  • Advise county government on implementation and monitoring of the national performance management system in counties;
  • Make recommendations to the Salaries and Remuneration Commission, on behalf of the county government, on the remuneration, pensions and gratuities for county public service
    employees.

    Qualifications

  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • A bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university
  • Experience of not less than Five (5) years
  • Demonstrates absence of breach of the relevant professional code of conduct
  • Satisfies the provisions of chapter six
  • Is not a state or public officer

    County Government of Lamu Electrician Instructor Jobs

    Responsibilities

  • An officer at this level will be deployed in the Youth Polytechnic and shall carry out the following:-
  • Theoretical and practical Instructions in area of specialization;
  • Preparing and maintaining schemes of work, lesson notes, trainees' records, teaching and learning material;
  • Trainees assessments;
  • Proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment;
  • Conducts co- curriculum activities; and
  • Managing discipline and provide guidance and counseling.

    Qualification

  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Diploma in Electronics Engineering or Diploma in Telecommunication Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering;
  • Certificate in computer application from recognized institution;
  • Instructor training certificate from KTTC will be added advantage OR
  • Grade Test II in Electrical or Electronic from a recognized institution;
  • K.C.S.E Mean grade D (plain);
  • 3 years' experience in Youth Polytechnic institutions. NB: Those without Diploma will be placed at JIG "G" (Artisan I)
