For appointment to this grade, the officer Must:

Be a Kenyan Citizen (National Identity Card/ Passport);

Have Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;

Be Registered by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer;

Own Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution;

Have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
