Duties & Responsibilities

  • Undertake general diagnosis, care, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients

  • Carry out specialized clinic care

  • Provide clinical services to patients

  • Train, consult, and perform surgeries in various health facilities

  • Carry out forensic and medico-legal services

  • Coordinate disease surveillance, prevention, and control

  • Coordinate health education and promotion

  • Implement health projects and programmes

  • Maintain up-to-date health information systems

  • Monitor provision of health treatment and care

  • Undertake health research

  • Analyze medical reports

    Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board

  • Master’s degree in Orthopedic Surgery

  • Certificate of registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board

  • Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution

  • Demonstrated professional competence and managerial capability as reflected in work performance and results
