County Government of Kirinyaga Medical Officers Jobs in Kenya




Duties & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, care for, and treat diseases

  • Perform medical and surgical procedures

  • Prepare for and respond to emergencies and disasters

  • Participate in management of medicines, medical instruments, and equipment

  • Provide health education

  • Maintain medical records, health information, and data

  • Counsel patients and their relatives on diagnosis and bereavement

  • Teach and coach medical students, nursing students, and clinical officer interns

  • Prepare requisite documents for registration

    Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board

  • Successfully completed one (1) year internship from a recognized institution

  • Registration license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board

  • Proficiency in computer application skills from a recognized institution

  • Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the values and principles as outlined in Article 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010

  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010
