Requirements for Appointment

  • Kenyan citizenship.

  • Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing or Kenya Registered Midwifery.

  • Registration Certificate from the Nursing Council of Kenya.

  • Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.

  • Experience in Midwifery and theatre nursing (advantage).

  • Understanding and commitment to values in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution.

  • Ability to work in multi‑ethnic environments with respect for diversity.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution.


    Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.

  • Provide healthcare services including IMCI, family planning, immunization, PMTCT, ANC, and delivery.

  • Offer health education and counselling to patients and communities.

  • Refer patients and clients appropriately.

  • Facilitate patient admissions and initiate discharge plans.

  • Maintain patient health records.

  • Ensure tidy and safe clinical environments.

  • Perform other lawful duties as assigned.
