County Government of Kiambu Deputy Director – Health Planning & Administration - Jobs in Kenya

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Director- Health Planning & Administration in Management of Human
    resource for health, health information, finance, and maintenance and procurement
    departments in the public health facilities;
  • Provision of secretarial services during administrative meetings, report writing and
    supervision of administrative matters of health in the county;
  • Assisting the Director- Health Planning & Administration in conveying the decisions
    of CHMT to the appropriate persons or authorities;
  • Ensuring proper coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the activities as detailed
    in the Kiambu County Health Strategic plan;
  • Follow up to detail the activities included in the County Health Annual work plans;
  • Timely audit reports for the health facilities in the County and the County Health Management Teams;
  • Assisting in ensuring efficient management and coordination of county Health Management activities;
  • Performing any other duties as directed by the Director- Health Planning &
  • Administration;

    Requirements for Appointment
  • Kenyan Citizen;
  • Bachelors Degree in a Health related Course;
  • Masters Degree in Management of Health Systems will be an added advantage;
  • Certificate in a Senior Management or Leadership Course;
  • At least Five (5) years
    progressive experience in Managerial Level;
  • At least Three (3) years experience in Monitoring & Evaluation at Strategic Level;
  • Evidence of at least Two (2) years training in Projects Management;
  • Experience in Performance and data management;
  • Demonstrated High Level of Professional Competences and administered capability as well as broad experience in administration, management of
    Healthcare Standards and Programs;
  • Capacity to provide leadership to the section, motivate employees and ensure high
    productivity;
  • Be a Strategic thinker and results oriented;
  • Be computer literate.
