County Government of Kakamega Human Resources Officer I Jobs in Kenya

Pursuant to the Constitution of Kenya (2010) and the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012, the County Government of Kakamega invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions:-

An Officer at this level will report to the Chief Revenue Administrator.

Duties and Responsibilities:-

  • Overseeing and coordinating human resource management services within the department;
  • Supporting, developing and implementing human resource strategic and operation plans ensuring alignment with best practices;
  • Participating in review of human resource policies and procedures and overseeing the enforcement of statutory regulations;
  • Working in line management to build a sustainable positive workforce environment and culture within the department;
  • Developing and coordinating staff benefits and welfare programmes; and
  • Any other lawful duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    Requirements for Appointment:-

    For appointment to this position, one must;

  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Have Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration (Human
    Resource Management option) from a recognized university;
  • Bachelors degree in social sciences, economics,Organization Development or any other relevant field from a recognized university with a Diploma in Human Resource Management;
  • Have a Certificate in Computer Applications;
  • Be a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management Kenya (IHRM) in good standing;
  • Valid Practicing Certificate, as stipulated in the Human Resource Management Professional Act 2012;
  • Have three (3) years experience in Human Resource Management; and
  • Meet the requirements of Articles 10, 232 and Chapter
    Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
