CorpsAfrica Global Safeguarding Lead Jobs in Rwanda;We are seeking a Global Safeguarding Lead to own CorpsAfrica’s safeguarding strategy and standards organisation‑wide, providing technical supervision to in‑country Safeguarding Officers and ensuring consistent implementation across all 11 countries of operation.

Position Overview

  • Classification: Full‑time, Exempt.

  • Location: CorpsAfrica office in Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Morocco, Rwanda, South Africa, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, or Uganda.

  • Reports to: Chief Operating Officer.

  • Salary and benefits: competitive, aligned with local customs and regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Own and strengthen global safeguarding policy framework, standards, and annual plans.

  • Serve as senior escalation point for safeguarding disclosures and incidents; oversee case management and survivor‑centered response.

  • Provide technical line management to safeguarding officers; set KPIs, conduct check‑ins, review performance.

  • Maintain and administer the Do Not Hire Registry Protocol.

  • Design and deliver safeguarding training for staff, volunteers, and officers.

  • Own organisational safeguarding risk assessment and gender risk matrix.

  • Lead safeguarding due diligence for new country offices, partners, and vendors.

  • Manage safeguarding reporting to Board, funders, and relevant parties.

  • Represent CorpsAfrica in external safeguarding communities of practice.

  • Manage safeguarding function’s budget.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (social work, public health, international development, or related field).

  • 7–10+ years of progressive leadership in safeguarding, PSEA, or child/adult protection.

  • Experience managing safeguarding across multiple countries, ideally in Africa.

  • Direct supervision of distributed, multi‑country teams.

  • Case management and survivor‑centered response experience.

  • Training design and delivery experience.

  • Familiarity with donor safeguarding compliance frameworks (Mastercard Foundation preferred).

  • Fluency in English required; French proficiency strongly preferred.

  • Willingness to travel regionally (30–40%).

  • Strong cross‑cultural communication skills.
