Corporate Staffing Services Support Engineer – Cisco Jobs in Kenya

Our client is one of the leading IT solutions providers.

They seek to hire a Support Engineer who will be responsible for for the implementation and support of Cisco technologies i.e. Collaboration, Security, Wireless, Routing & Switching, Data Centre etc.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team leads in implementation and documentation of networking projects
  • Installation of IP telephony systems
  • Installation and configuration of routers and switches for LAN & WAN
  • Installation and configuration of data Centre switches (Nexus)
  • Installation and configuration of wireless components
  • Installation of unified access systems (ISE & ACS)
  • Installation of firewalls (Check point & ASA)
  • Installation & configuration of video conferencing equipment
  • Site surveys before projects kick off
  • Network audits as per customer requirements

    Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in CIS, BBIT, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or any other related field
    CISCO/Check Point/Avaya/Solarwinds/ITIL certifications
  • Very Strong Layer 2 & 3 Networking Skills
  • Routing OSPF, ISIS, BGP, EIGRP
  • Redundancy protocols e.g. Vss, HSRP,VRRP etc.
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • QoS
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Customer interaction skills
