Corporate Staffing Services Head of IT Jobs in Kenya

Our client is a three-star Hotel.

They seek to hire a highly competent, proactive, self-driven individual who is willing to work intimately with the management team to provide vision, leadership and efficiency in the IT function of the Hotel.

Responsibilities

Developing and implementing disaster recovery procedures for servers and business applications.

Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems.

Proactively assisting in maximization of E-Marketing through the usage of social media.

Managing and providing hardware and software maintenance and upgrades.

Website Development, administration and management.

Ensuring all network connections like servers, business email servers and system protection such as anti-virus and firewalls have been installed, are functioning properly and are up to date.

Liaising with external service providers to ensure maximum systems availability.

Providing users with appropriate support and advice.

Ensuring the security of data from internal and external attack.

Remain on-call after working hours to respond to and support service issues.

Supervise the IT personnel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in the Computer Science or related discipline.

Industry certification in systems and network administration will be an added advantage

Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in IT Field within hotel operations.

Good knowledge in LAN,

Security, wireless, IP Telephony, and hospitality solutions and software.

Experience in deploying and maintaining a Wi-Fi network

Good analytic and management skills; proficiency in latest technology for IT systems

Experience in maintaining Hotel management software i.e. Micros, Fidelio and Sun systems.

Be a person of integrity, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be a team player

Should be systematic and possess accurate work habits and have the capacity to meet deadlines.
