Cordaid International Global HR & People Lead Jobs in Kenya; The Global HR & People Lead develops and implements HR strategies aligned with Cordaid’s operational priorities, cultural transition, and commitment to Locally Led Development (LLD).

The role supports leadership teams, oversees workforce planning, HR operations, talent acquisition, compliance, and employee wellbeing, while managing HR personnel and fostering collaboration across regions.

Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Organizational Development

  • Develop and implement global HR strategies aligned with Cordaid’s priorities and LLD commitment.

    People Management & Leadership Support

  • Advise managers and leadership on development, performance management, team effectiveness, and change processes.

    Workforce Planning & Effectiveness

  • Coordinate workforce design across domains and regions.

  • Develop scalable HR services enabling lean country structures with robust employee support.

    HR Operations & Digital Enablement

  • Ensure accurate delivery of HR services across the employee lifecycle.

  • Promote effective use of HRIS, workflow tools, and people analytics.

    Talent Acquisition & Staff Development

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, talent development, and succession planning.

    HR Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies, labor regulations, and Cordaid Integrity Compliance Framework.

    Employee Wellbeing

  • Oversee absence management, duty of care initiatives, and organizational health.

    Team Leadership

  • Manage and coach HR personnel, focusing on employee development, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    Requirements

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration,
    Organizational Development, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR management, organizational development, or workforce planning in complex environments.

  • Strong knowledge of HR governance, labor regulations, workforce analytics, and HRIS platforms.

  • Proven experience supporting organizational transformation and distributed operating models.

  • Excellent advisory, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Collaborative team player with ability to build trust across regions and cultures.

  • Accountable, empathetic, and committed to integrity, confidentiality, and ethical behavior.

  • Fluent in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is an asset.

  • Alignment with Cordaid’s mission and values.
