Co-operative University of Kenya Associate Professor, Information Technology Jobs

The Co-operative University of Kenya (CUK) is a Public University established under The Universities Act 2012. The Vision of the University is to be a leading Global University in Training, Research and Innovation for Co-operative Development, whereas the Mission is to provide Innovative Education, Training, Research, and Consultancy services for sustainable community empowerment.

CUK is situated in Karen, approximately 20km from Nairobi City Centre, a conducive environment for academic engagement and research. We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and
experienced persons with excellent credentials to join the CUK family by filling the following vacant position: Associate Professor, Information Technology.

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

Must possess a PhD in Information Technology or a relevant field from an accredited or recognized University;

Must possess at least four (4) years of teaching and research in a University as a Senior
Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow /Industry experience or equivalent with a proven track
record of exemplary performance;

Must have published five (5) papers in refereed journals or two (2) scholarly books or four (4) papers in refereed journals and two (2) chapters in a scholarly book since last promotion;

Must have successfully supervised one (1) PhD thesis and three (3) Masters thesis or twelve (12) Masters projects or two (2) PhD thesis since last promotion;

Should have demonstrated academic leadership appropriate to this level;

Must demonstrate evidence of attracted research funds, development and review of curriculum since last promotion;

Must be actively affiliated to an appropriate professional body.
