Co-operative Bank of Kenya Sacco ICT Officer Jobs;The ICT Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and continuously improving the technology environment for the Cooperative Union and its business units. The role ensures ICT services are secure, reliable and efficient, while providing both strategic and operational leadership across infrastructure, systems, digital platforms, information security, business continuity and user support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop annual ICT work plan, budget and activity schedules aligned with strategic plan.

  • Participate in development, review and implementation of ICT policies, procedures and standards.

  • Provide technical advice on ICT investments, risks and digital opportunities.

  • Prepare ICT reports for Management and Board; monitor approved projects.

  • Manage and maintain core business systems, databases, servers, networks and platforms.

  • Ensure optimal performance, security and availability of ICT systems.

  • Maintain accurate records of ICT assets, licenses and documentation.

  • Coordinate system upgrades, updates, patches and integrations.

  • Implement and monitor ICT security controls and procedures.

  • Protect systems and data from cyber threats; monitor vulnerabilities and incidents.

  • Promote information security awareness among staff.

  • Identify and manage ICT risks; maintain ICT risk register.

  • Ensure compliance with Data Protection Act and relevant regulations.

  • Develop, test and maintain backup, disaster recovery and continuity plans.

  • Support ICT audits and
    implement recommendations.

  • Recommend emerging technologies to support automation and digitalisation.

  • Provide first‑ and second‑line technical support to staff.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and application issues.

  • Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot ICT equipment and peripherals.

  • Conduct user training and provide technical guidance.

  • Liaise with ICT vendors and coordinate procurement of equipment and services.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field.

  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional or equivalent.

  • Cybersecurity certification is an added advantage.

  • 3 years’ relevant experience in ICT systems administration, network administration or ICT support.

  • Age: 25 years and above.
