Co-operative Bank of Kenya Sacco Head of Finance and Operations Jobs;The Head of Finance and Operations is a senior, strategic and hands‑on leadership role responsible for providing comprehensive financial and operational leadership across the cooperative Union and its subsidiary business units. These include Coffee Farm, Coffee Milling, Real Estate Management, Credit Section, Agrovet Business, Coffee Value Addition and Processed Coffee Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategy aligned with cooperative goals.

  • Provide strategic financial advice to CEO and Board.

  • Lead annual budgeting and planning process.

  • Review financial plans, monitor progress and report performance.

  • Ensure timely preparation of financial statements and Board reports (IFRS compliant).

  • Manage cash flow, treasury forecasting and liquidity.

  • Ensure compliance with Co‑operative Societies Act, KRA tax requirements and regulations.

  • Establish and maintain internal control and risk management systems.

  • Coordinate annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.

  • Identify, assess and mitigate financial and operational risks.

  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of all business units.

  • Develop and monitor SOPs and operational policies.

  • Optimize resource allocation for efficiency and scalability.

  • Supervise administrative functions and facility management.

  • Lead, mentor and develop finance and operations
    teams.

  • Drive professional development, appraisals and training.

  • Establish performance targets and ensure accountability.

  • Provide timely information to the Board for decision‑making.

  • Manage relationships with banks, KRA, auditors and partners.

  • Ensure financial transparency and communication with members.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Agribusiness or related field.

  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage.

  • CPA(K) or equivalent professional qualification.

  • 7 years’ practical experience in agribusiness or multi‑entity environment.

  • Minimum 3 years in senior management position.

  • Age: 35 years and above
