Commercial International Bank Relationship Manager Jobs in Kenya;The Relationship Manager is responsible for growing the banking business within their portfolio. This includes acquiring new clientele, selling banking products, ensuring top‑notch relationship management, expanding wallet share of existing clients, and enhancing product utilization through cross‑selling efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Financial

  • Onboard new clients by identifying prospects and communicating the bank’s value proposition.

  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.

  • Mobilize deposits to optimize liquidity and funding stability.

  • Manage credit portfolios through risk assessment and prudent lending practices.

  • Acquire CASA and transactional accounts to optimize cost of funds.

  • Cross‑sell diverse bank products and services to deepen client relationships.

  • Monitor credit quality and portfolio performance to minimize risk.

  • Maximize wallet share by providing tailored financial solutions.

    Customer

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create positive banking experiences.

  • Expedite processes to ensure quick turnaround and seamless customer journeys.

  • Foster loyalty and retention through personalized interactions.

  • Act as a trusted advisor by offering insights and tailored financial solutions.

  • Generate referrals through exceeding client expectations.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact, providing personalized support.

    Internal Business Processes

  • Ensure credit documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant.

  • Contribute to credit analysis and risk assessment.

  • Adhere to KYC compliance standards to mitigate financial crime risks.

  • Follow internal controls and processes to maintain operational efficiency.

  • Communicate clearly with clients regarding transactions and updates.

  • Meet or exceed service level agreements for timeliness and accuracy.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

    Functional Responsibilities

  • Support project proposals and contribute to
    innovation initiatives.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with KPIs.

  • Assess risks associated with business decisions and ensure compliance.

  • Uphold the bank’s reputation through ethical conduct and professionalism.

    Job Specification

    Academic

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Marketing.

  • Master’s degree is an added advantage.

    Professional Qualifications & Experience

  • Professional qualification in Credit Analysis (advantage).

  • Professional qualification in Sales (advantage).

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with banking or business banking exposure.

    Personal Attributes & Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.

  • Collaboration and teamwork skills.

  • Presentation skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.

  • Knowledge of banking products, credit policies, and procedures.

  • Credit skills including financial analysis, modeling, and appraisals.
