    Primary Function

    • Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, employee leaves of absence among others.

    • Responsible for processing Work Permits /Special Passes and other visa application for COMPANY staff. .

    Responsibilities

    • Maintenance of employee data, including information such as home addresses, next of kin, beneficiaries, leave, monthly earnings, performance, disciplinary hearings and records dates and reasons for terminations among others.

    • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.

    • Sensitize staff on Speak-up policy, grievance and disciplinary hearing process to ensure compliance.

    • Sensitize staff on insurance benefits, employment regulations and laws, interpretation of the HR policies and procedures.

    • Provide assistance in administering employee benefit programs and worker's compensation plans.

    • Assist in generating and conducting HR staff surveys, analyze the feedback and relay it back to the HR Team for further action.

    • Set up forums to discuss employee motivation and any factors affecting their morale or work productivity.

    • Assist in the drafting of strategic employee welfare plans and wellness framework.

    • Ensure that new employees are well oriented in the Company and their respective departments i.e. confirm they have been issued with
    necessary resources: Computers/Laptops, Sim cards, ID badges, medical cards and the medical providers list of clinics, orientation and have all needed support.

    • Monitoring the working conditions of field based staff and supporting them with regards to any employee relations issues. This will involve regular site visits to physically meet these staff and access their issues.

    • To implement other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, psychology or related disciplines.

    • At least 3 years' related working experience, preferably in international or Multinational Companies.

    • Affiliation to HR professional bodies such as HRMAU or CIPD will be an added advantage

    Knowledge

    • Knowledge of all functions of HR

    • Knowledge of HRMS

    • Knowledge of Labour Laws and Employment Act of Uganda

    • Understanding of Oil & Gas operations
