Clinton Health Access Initiative Associate - Supply Chain Management Jobs in Kenya; CHAI seeks a resourceful, tenacious, and highly ethical professional to support commodity quantification, international procurement, and supply planning for malaria treatments and diagnostics. The Associate will collaborate with governments, global partners, and manufacturers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of malaria commodities, while contributing to monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems.


Key Responsibilities

Data and Quantification

  • Collaborate with government partners, CHAI country teams, and stakeholders to compile stock level data from LMIS and supply plans.

  • Identify national stock gaps for malaria treatments and RDTs.

  • Reconcile country stock and order data with global procurement sources.

  • Engage with National Malaria Programs and PSM units in countries without CHAI offices to gather data.


    Procurement and Logistics

  • Work with manufacturers and freight forwarders to evaluate bids, agree on shipping terms, and delivery timelines.

  • Coordinate with in‑country stakeholders to prepare for commodity receipt.


    Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Establish supply chain M&E indicators to track progress of emergency procurements.

  • Routinely report findings and support country staff in developing distribution plans.


    Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, public policy, health economics, or supply chain management.

  • 3+ years’ experience in public health, commodities management, consulting, market intelligence, finance, or public sector advisory.

  • High proficiency
    in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

  • Experience in international contexts or entrepreneurial environments.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills (written, oral, interpersonal).

  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate trends, and manage multiple tasks.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.

  • Excellent command of English; French is an advantage.

  • Experience working in high‑risk, developing settings.

  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and dedication to CHAI’s mission.


    Advantages

  • MPH or MS in Public Health, Health Economics, or Supply Chain Management.

  • Experience with LMIS or DHIS2 systems.

  • Experience in developing countries on health initiatives.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical/medical device market research or distribution.

  • Experience working with governments and institutions in sub‑Saharan Africa.
