CLASP Sr. Associate Jobs in Kenya; The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and project management skills, highly developed analytical skills, and the ability to work across geographies and disciplines. They will be an excellent communicator, capable of adapting to evolving priorities, and bringing well-honed problem-solving and interpersonal skills. The candidate should bring a track record of program management, budgeting, and systems thinking in complex operational contexts.
This is a full-time position based in Nairobi, Kenya. Occasional local and international travel may be required.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Budget Oversight Support the development and monitoring of program budgets, working closely with program leads and the finance team to ensure strategic use of resources and donor compliance.
Track and interpret budget performance data and advise senior leadership on course corrections or efficiencies.
'Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)
Support the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks that capture program impact, learning, and effectiveness.
Coordinate input from program, M&E, and communications teams to develop clear and compelling donor-facing reports and presentations.
Gather and synthesize data, stories, and lessons learned to highlight outcomes and align with CLASP’s strategic messaging.
Manage the reporting process by coordinating team inputs, ensuring outputs are timely, accurate, and aligned with funder expectations.
Operational Systems & Process Innovation
Identify gaps or inefficiencies in program operations; recommend and support the roll out of improved tools and processes across projects.
Liaise with operations and admin teams to ensure CEA’s systems are compatible with broader CLASP infrastructure.
Strategic Engagement & Knowledge Management
Strengthen collaboration across CEA offices (Nairobi, Delhi, Jakarta, etc.) by aligning priorities, procedures, and tools.
Facilitate
knowledge sharing and team learning through consistent use of knowledge management platforms and practices.
Represent CLASP in external meetings, sector working groups, and events, translating program insights into strategy and influence.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, environmental studies, business administration).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, operations, or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with budgeting and financial management.
Knowledge of M&E frameworks and practices.
Ability to work collaboratively with different teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Ability to handle multiple deadlines and complete assignments with minimal supervision in a fast-paced workplace.
Impeccable organization: you are highly detail-oriented, and someone who gets a real sense of satisfaction from producing polished work and managing smooth and orderly processes.
Persuasive communication skills, both verbal and written; excellent written and spoken English a must.
Strong interpersonal skills and an orientation toward working in a collaborative environment; ability to maintain composure, flexibility, and a sense of humor under tight deadlines.
