Key duties/Responsibilities:

- The job responsibilities will comprise of the following key activities among others;

• Acquire new clients by actively listening to their requirements and presenting the company's products and services in a tailored and effective manner.

• Prepare and submit professional bid documents, and actively follow up on submitted tenders with prospective clients.

• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers through regular in-person meetings, phone calls, and emails.

• Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations with the aim of generating new leads and converting those leads into new customers.

• Participate in client relationships and portfolio profitability by setting quarterly targets for increased revenue from existing clients.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual business development reports, including detailed analyses of sales trends and future projections.

• Participate in company promotional activities, including events, product launches, and marketing campaigns, with the aim of increasing brand awareness and achieving increase in sales revenue during promotional periods.

• Participate in the preparation and timely publication of the company's marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and social media posts, with the aim of adherence to publication timelines.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by management in line with business needs, ensuring that all tasks are completed with a high degree of accuracy and within the agreed timelines.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in
Business Administration, Marketing or related field.

• A Diploma in Insurance holder or a finalist.

• At least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Additional Skills:

• Strong underwriting skills and knowledge of insurance products and services.

• Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Confident with in-depth knowledge and networks in Uganda

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

• Must have integrity and high sense of ethical responsibility.

• Demonstrate an understanding of key laws and rules guiding the insurance market

• Attention to details and good tender management skills.
