CITAM Video Editor Jobs in Kenya

Job Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for creatively assembling/editing raw footage into
logical sequences/productions suitable for broadcasting.

The position reports to the Station manager.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that’s suitable
for broadcast.

Taking a brief to grasp production teams' needs and specifications.

Reviewing shooting scripts.

Editing daily promos for the station.

Verify footage for archiving.

Ability to operate latest editing systems, video switching equipment and after effects.

Work closely with producers concerning programs layout and editing to
increase dramatic value of productions.

Script writing and ability to operate studio cameras is an added advantage.

Minimum Qualifications

Diploma in Video editing, Mass Communication, Media Studies or its equivalent from a recognized institution. Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication is an added advantage.

At least Three (3) years of relevant experience working as a Video Editor in a television station.

Born again Christian, 25 -35 years old
Other Competencies

Requires good interpersonal skills with ability to build effective teamwork.

Must have developed good and solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages.

Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity.

Must possess strong communication, creative, and storytelling skills.
