Job Summary

Prepare, produce and present programmes and interaction with audience. Inform, entertain, educate and provide spiritual nourishment to the listeners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Devote one hour or more to prayer and personal study of the word of God daily.
  • Research, plan and develop on air content, ideas and concepts in line with the
    station strategy and values.
  • On air presentation/continuity and acting on feedback from listeners.
  • Producing and making use of user-generated content.
  • Music research: Identify and propose music that is in line with the station sound.
  • Execute commercial logs by carrying out paid for client commercials.
  • Perform any other duties & responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by
    the supervisor.
  • Reports equipment problems to the Technical services manager and ensure that repairs are made, and make emergency repairs to equipment when necessary and possible.
  • Performs routine inspection, preventive maintenance and calibration of signal
    processors and receivers for site uplink.
  • Maintaining an up to date equipment inventory.
  • Performs necessary upgrades, recommendations and research in consultation with the Technical Services Manager.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Post-graduate diploma in any of the following: Media/communication studies, or Journalism.
  • Professional experience
    in the media industry would be an advantage.

    Other Qualifications

  • Must be a born again Christian aged between 25- 37 years.
  • Should demonstrate high levels of creativity and innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills and public speaking; ability to communicate well in
    English and Kiswahili.
  • Must have good research and interview and good presentation skills, and a willingness
    to learn new technical skills.
  • Able to work long hours of intense work.
  • An appreciation of music is a must.
  • Minimum three (3) years of similar / related experience.
