CIC Insurance Legal Assistant Jobs in Kenya



CIC Insurance Legal Assistant Jobs in Kenya;Responsible for analysing and settling all legal matters relating to third‑party claims lodged with CIC and pursuing recoveries with respect to material damages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review pleadings, legal opinions, and status reports prepared by external advocates and take appropriate action.

  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions for management review.

  • Negotiate with third‑party claimants to settle admissible claims out of court.

  • Issue instructions to service providers involved in the claims process (advocates, investigators, etc.).

  • Respond to demand letters from third‑party advocates and/or claimants.

  • Initiate and ensure timely processing of legal claims payments (judgements, fee notes, discharge vouchers).

  • Maintain and update reserves for all files.

    Who We’re Looking For

    Essential Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field.

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Law.

  • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.

  • Progress in ACII or Diploma in Insurance is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
