CIC Insurance Investment Analyst Jobs in Kenya;Reporting to the Head of Research & Innovation, the role holder will provide strategic support and analytical insights to drive informed business decision-making.
The role is responsible for research, investment analysis and providing relevant information and recommendations on equity and fixed-income investments.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, analyze and interpret data to generate insights and recommendations, identifying trends, patterns and anomalies.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics and emerging technologies.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling activities.
Monitor key financial metrics and prepare reports for management review.
Create detailed reports and dashboards that provide meaningful insights into business performance, trends and opportunities.
Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance productivity.
Support the planning, execution and monitoring of various projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Prepare and deliver clear, concise and visually appealing presentations for stakeholders.
Conduct comprehensive investment research across various asset classes, industries and individual companies.
Analyze financial statements, economic indicators, market trends and other relevant data to evaluate investment opportunities.
Develop and maintain financial models to assess investment returns, risks and valuations.
Utilize quantitative techniques and statistical analysis to support investment decisions.
Prepare investment
reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Communicate investment recommendations and performance analyses effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Investment, Finance, Business or a related field.
Progression towards CFA qualification or an equivalent professional qualification.
Experience
Minimum two (2) years of experience in investment analysis.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
Strong investment research and financial analysis skills.
Knowledge of equity and fixed-income investments.
Financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret financial statements and market data.
Experience with reporting, dashboard preparation and presentation development.
Understanding of financial markets, economic trends and investment strategies.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced investment environment.
