CIC Insurance Cloud Engineer Jobs in Kenya



CIC Insurance Cloud Engineer Jobs in Kenya; Reporting to the ICT Infrastructure Manager, the role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud‑based systems and infrastructure for CIC Group. The holder will build and maintain scalable cloud services, oversee data storage solutions, optimize costs, provide support, and troubleshoot issues to ensure seamless cloud operations.


Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure Management

  • Design, build, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures.

  • Oversee configuration of cloud infrastructure components including networking, security services, storage solutions, and hybrid connectivity.

  • Monitor cloud management and data storage services for efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.

  • Support vendor negotiations to control costs and ensure scalability of cloud services.

  • Enforce cloud security best practices including IAM, RBAC, encryption, vulnerability management, and network segmentation.


    Development & Lifecycle Participation

  • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for cloud solutions.

  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, document problems, and implement preventive measures.


    Training, Innovation & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Educate teams on new cloud‑based initiatives and provide training as
    needed.

  • Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud technologies and best practices to keep CIC Group at the forefront of cloud innovation.


    Who We’re Looking For

    Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related discipline.

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud environments.

  • Certified Cloud Practitioner in AWS Solutions, GCP, Oracle Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.

  • Linux Server Administration.

  • Microsoft Windows Server Administration.
