CIC Insurance Branch Manager – Town Office Jobs in Kenya; Reporting to the Regional Manager – Metropolitan, the Regional Business Development Manager will drive revenue growth, enhance visibility, and strengthen stakeholder value across the Metropolis region. The role involves managing intermediary relationships, leading sales teams, and ensuring customer‑centric service delivery while maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Manage intermediary relationships (brokers, banks, agents) to deliver targeted premium outputs.

  • Drive pipeline business management, quotation processing, and timely transmission to intermediaries and clients.

  • Champion cross‑selling for corporate and retail business, and support opening new markets and distribution channels.

  • Ensure renewal follow‑up to achieve retention ratios.

    Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provide leadership and support to staff, sales, and marketing teams through training and motivation.

  • Represent the company in forums such as cooperative AGMs, leaders’ meetings, and seminars.

  • Identify and facilitate branch staff resourcing requirements in liaison with People & Culture.

  • Recruit, train, and manage a high‑performing sales team.

    Operational Excellence

  • Enforce credit control compliance and debt management standards.

  • Operationalize SLAs with intermediaries for differentiated service delivery.

  • Resolve customer complaints and inquiries promptly and professionally.

  • Support daily branch operations including sales processing, policy issuance, and claims handling.

    Market Intelligence
    & Compliance

  • Monitor and provide market intelligence for business acquisition and strategic planning.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

    Generic Duties

  • Carry out performance appraisals, coaching, and mentoring staff.

  • Participate in departmental planning and budgeting.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Relevant professional qualification.

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in a similar position, with at least 2 years at supervisory level.
