CIC Insurance Branch Manager – Machakos Jobs in Kenya
Key Responsibilities
Manage intermediary relationships (brokers, banks, independent agents) and clients to deliver targeted premium outputs across subsidiaries.
Provide leadership and support to staff, sales, and marketing teams by driving corporate strategy through training and motivation.
Organize and represent the company in forums such as cooperative societies AGMs, leaders’ meetings, and seminars in liaison with PR staff.
Manage pipeline business, quotation processing, and transmission to intermediaries and clients within set TATs.
Enforce credit control compliance and debt management standards.
Draw up and operationalize SLAs with intermediaries for differentiated service delivery; resolve customer complaints promptly.
Adhere to inter‑departmental service level standards and support daily branch operations including sales processing, policy issuance, and claims handling.
Follow up on renewals to achieve retention ratios.
Champion cross‑selling for corporate and retail business; support opening new markets and distribution channels.
Identify and facilitate branch staff resourcing requirements including recruitment, appraisal, career development, succession, and resource planning.
Coordinate intermediary activities and provide market intelligence for business acquisition and strategic planning.
Recruit, train, and manage a high‑performing sales team while growing intermediary portfolios.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Generic Duties
Carry out performance appraisal, coaching, and mentoring of staff.
Participate in departmental planning and budgeting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
Relevant professional qualification.
Minimum six (6) years’ relevant experience in a similar position, with at least two (2) years at supervisory level.
