CIC Insurance Accountant Jobs in Kenya;The role holder will be responsible for preparing financial statements, performing account reconciliations, managing accounts receivables and payables, maintaining the general ledger, and assessing internal controls.

Responsibilities

Reporting and Compliance

  • Maintain accuracy and completeness of financial records.

  • Ensure proper classification, coding, and documentation of all transactions to the correct GL accounts and cost centers.

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports in line with financial reporting standards.

  • Maintain the asset register and confirm alignment with company accounts and policies.

  • Support internal and annual audit processes by providing relevant schedules, listings, and reconciliations.

  • Act as MIS Champion for current and new systems implemented in the organization.

  • Identify areas of cost optimization within the business.

  • Supervise pharmacy branch finance operations.

    Budgeting

  • Prepare and forecast Capex and Operating expenses budgets.

  • Prepare and forecast sales budgets.

    Operations

  • Manage accounts payable – vendor management, invoice processing, reconciliations, statements, and ageing reports.

  • Oversee inventory management and stock control.

  • Conduct scheduled stock takes and prepare relevant reports.

  • Promptly receipt and allocate customer payments.

  • Prepare daily bank and Mpesa reconciliations and daily cash control reports.

  • Identify and support areas of automation to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications / Work Experience

  • Academic Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.

  • Professional Progress in CPA or ACCA qualification.

  • Professional Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in accounting.
