Ciala Hospital Laboratory Technologists Jobs in Kenya; The Laboratory Technologists will be responsible for conducting diagnostic procedures, maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control, and supporting clinicians in delivering accurate and timely patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution.
Valid practicing license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant working experience.
Prior experience working in a busy private Level 4 hospital is required.
Experience working in a Class E Laboratory setup will be highly preferred.
Strong knowledge and practical competency in routine and specialized laboratory procedures.
Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment effectively.
Good understanding of laboratory quality control, quality assurance, and infection prevention standards.
Experience in hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, and parasitology procedures will be an added advantage.
Experience using Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and hospital management systems will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical,
organizational, and communication skills.
High level of professionalism, integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures accurately and efficiently in accordance with established standards and protocols.
Receive, process, analyze, and properly document patient samples.
Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timely release of laboratory results.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment while ensuring proper calibration and quality control procedures.
Adhere strictly to laboratory safety, infection prevention, and waste disposal guidelines.
Maintain proper documentation, records, and inventory of laboratory reagents and supplies.
Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs.
Collaborate effectively with clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
Promptly report critical results and equipment malfunctions where necessary.
Participate in departmental meetings, CMEs, audits, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
