Christian Health Association of Kenya Programme Manager Jobs;The Programme Manager will provide overall leadership, strategic direction, and accountability for the Uzazi Salama programme, ensuring objectives, deliverables, and grant commitments are achieved to a high standard. The role will lead programme planning and performance management, coordinate CHAK, Girl Effect, Kiambu County, and other stakeholders, and oversee technical, monitoring, and financial performance. The PM serves as the principal liaison with M‑PESA Foundation and senior county stakeholders, accountable for programme quality, compliance, sustainability, and achievement of results.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic, technical, and managerial leadership for the Uzazi Salama programme.

  • Lead development, approval, and review of annual and quarterly workplans and performance targets.

  • Oversee implementation across community, facility, county health system, and digital workstreams.

  • Supervise and guide Programme Officer and M&E Officer; coordinate with finance and technical teams.

  • Promote evidence use, learning, innovation, and documentation of programme results.

  • Coordinate performance and accountability of consortium partners (CHAK, Girl Effect, county structures).

  • Review programme performance, expenditure, risks, and institute corrective actions.

  • Serve as primary liaison with M‑PESA Foundation and represent programme in high‑level engagements.

  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements, CHAK policies, government standards, and QA mechanisms.

  • Guide preparation and quality review of programme plans, reports, presentations, and deliverables.

  • Oversee transition and sustainability planning, aligning interventions with county plans and budgets.

  • Coordinate capacity‑strengthening functions of the programme.

  • Perform other duties commensurate with the role as assigned.

    Qualifications / Work Experience

  • Academic Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Medicine,
    Clinical Medicine, Public Health, Reproductive Health, Midwifery, or relevant health discipline.

  • Academic Master’s Degree in Public Health, Health Systems Management, Reproductive Health, Project Management, or related field (advantage).

  • Professional Relevant professional registration/licensure where applicable.

  • Professional Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years’ progressive experience in RMNCAH, MNCH, reproductive health, family planning, or related programmes.

  • Professional Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years in programme management or senior technical leadership.

  • Professional Demonstrated experience managing donor‑funded health programmes.

  • Professional Experience working with Kenya’s national and county health systems.

  • Professional Experience in facility‑based and community‑based RMNCAH programming.

  • Professional Experience in quality improvement and supportive supervision.

  • Professional Experience managing multidisciplinary programme teams.

  • Professional Experience working with government, faith‑based organisations, and development partners.

  • Professional High initiative, integrity, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
