Christian Health Association of Kenya Driver – RMNCH Project Jobs in Kenya;The Driver will provide safe, reliable, and timely transport services in support of the RMNCH Project. The role ensures efficient movement of project staff and authorized personnel to implementation sites, maintains the assigned vehicle in a roadworthy condition, and provides logistical and basic administrative support to field activities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, reliable, and professional driving services to project staff and authorized personnel.

  • Uphold confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times.

  • Plan and manage travel routes efficiently, including long‑distance and field assignments.

  • Conduct safety briefings and ensure compliance with traffic laws and CHAK transport policies.

  • Transport project supplies, commodities, training materials, and equipment securely.

  • Maintain assigned vehicle(s) in excellent condition, including cleanliness, fueling, and servicing.

  • Carry out routine inspections and coordinate minor maintenance.

  • Ensure valid insurance, inspection certificates, and emergency equipment are in place.

  • Maintain accurate transport records (trip logs, fuel, mileage, maintenance, incidents).

  • Support fleet processes including quotations, repairs, servicing, and supplier follow‑up.

  • Provide logistical support during trainings, outreaches, supervision visits, and assessments.

  • Assist passengers with entry/exit and respond appropriately to emergencies.

  • Take brief notes or minutes during select meetings and field visits.

  • Support basic photography for official meetings and field activities.

  • Assist in dispatch and courier coordination for official correspondence and documents.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum KCSE certificate.

  • Valid and clean driver’s license (Class BCE).

  • Certificate of good conduct.

  • Valid AA Driving Certificate an added advantage.

  • At least 5 years’ proven driving experience, preferably in NGO or donor‑funded projects.

  • Experience driving manual and 4WD vehicles in diverse terrain.

  • Basic vehicle mechanics knowledge; first aid certificate an added advantage.

  • Commitment to Christian values and ability to work in a faith‑based environment.

  • Computer literacy.

  • Basic photography skills.
