Christian Aid is now looking to recruit a proactive and dynamic Programme Coordinator for one of our most innovative projects funded by the EU and titled: “Breaking the Barriers: Promoting women entrepreneurship in sustainable energy value chains through innovative approaches “

About the Role

  • This role is responsible for ensuring the correct and timely implementation of the above-mentioned project that is being executed in Malawi, Ethiopia, Burkina and Honduras.
  • This role will have to support the 4 country programmes to ensure strong contract management as well as the coordination of the action, the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the activities and the cross-country learning.
  • The post holder will work closely with the project coordinators and officers at country level as well as will engage regularly with their M&E and finance staff to provide support and advice as requested on delivery ensuring compliance with donors’ and Christian Aid’s regulations.
  • She/he will provide general guidance and direction to the project.
  • The role will be critical to supporting the Country Manager in representing the organisation to the EU and other possible and current donors as well as other external stakeholders, and to improving Christian Aid’s in-country visibility

    About you
  • Candidates should have a good knowledge and expertise in working with the European Union in areas such as energy, climate change, and business development.
  • They will have proven experience of successful coordination and management of large projects across development, alongside excellent communication and people
    skills.
  • The role also requires fluency in English, and knowledge of Project Cycle Management and monitoring, evaluation and learning methodologies

  • This role requires applicants to have the right to work in either Malawi or Ethiopia, where this position will be based.
  • The salary and terms and conditions of contract of this role will be national/local and will be based on the country pay scale structure within the country in which the post holder will be based.
  • If based in Ethiopia, the salary range is: $25,841 - 26912 Gross Per Annum, and if based in Malawi, salary range is GBP 30,233 - 33,084 Gross Per Annum
