Responsibilities
  • Daily routine checks of all plumbing pipes and fittings in common areas
  • Repair any plumbing-related leakages.
  • Perform scheduled inspection on plumbing system and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair
  • Carryout preventive add corrective maintenance on plumbing system, ensuring all systems are in good working condition
  • Inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs for specified plumbing activities and make appropriate requisition to the Facility Manager
  • Ensure all water systems and pipes in the facility are in good working condition; monitor and check water flow and temperatures
  • Ensure water treatment plant i.e. Filter, aeration tank, dosing pump and transfer pump are functional; report any breakdown to Assistant Manager.
  • Repair defective plumbing by locating the cause of the defect and correcting or replacing defective part, pipes or opening clogged drains
  • Inspect all water treatment, storage and structures for infestation of pest, rodents and bugs and report all signs of infestation to the Facility Manager for immediate treatment.
  • Ensure sewage systems, lift station, blowers and chemical closing pump are functional at all time.
  • Prepare requisition list for materials required to execute planned maintenance tasks.
  • Take reasonable care of my own safety.
  • To take care of all equipment and PPEs in their possession.
  • Inspect, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, and sprinkler, according to specifications and plumbing codes.
  • Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders.
  • Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, commodes, water heaters, etc.
  • Receive and complete and record work completed
    on job card.
  • Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
  • Detect needed repairs in common areas, building surroundings, and equipment following established inspection procedures.
  • Respond to emergency calls as needed.

    Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum academic qualification of an SSCE
  • Diploma from a Trade or Vocational Schools or Certificate of Apprenticeship
  • At least four (4) years of professional experience in a related field
  • Proof of Trade Test Certificate
  • Must be able to speak English and write well
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to prepare a report at the appropriate period
  • Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential buildings.
