Children's Investment Fund Foundation WASH Manager Careers in Kenya

WASH Manager

The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is an independent philanthropic organisation, headquartered in London with offices in Nairobi and New Delhi. We work with a wide range of partners seeking to transform the lives of poor and vulnerable children in developing countries.

Our key focus is to deliver transformational and sustainable change, underpinned by data and evidence. For most of our grants, we work with partners to measure and evaluate progress to achieve large scale and sustainable impact. We are committed to sharing as much information as possible about what we and our partners are learning.

WASH Manager
Nairobi
Competitive

CIFF has to date invested significantly on deworming treatments for children. As we are now increasingly focusing on attempting to break the entire infection transmission cycle, we are making large investments in water and sanitation infrastructure, and are seeking to hire a WASH Manager on an 18-month contract to manage a high quality portfolio of health programmes, with particular emphasis on water and sanitation components in Ethiopia. The role sits within the Strong Start Team in our Survive and Thrive Department.

The WASH Manager
is responsible for providing in-depth analysis and research to support the delivery of CIFF’s priorities, whilst managing a portfolio of live programmes and building a pipeline of potential new investments. You will also advice on the appropriate measurement and evaluation tools for the programmes, and engage proactively with our delivery partners and key stakeholders.

We are seeking candidates with a qualification in structural engineering and previous experience of designing and constructing community water and sanitation infrastructure and developing highly effective programmes. You will ideally have working experience from Sub-Saharan Africa, excellent verbal and written communication skills, are highly analytical and have current knowledge of impact measurement. A self-starter, you are resilient and have a solutions focused approach. Importantly, you share our belief in evidence-based decision making.
