Chemonics Chief of party Jobs in Ghana


Chemonics seeks a chief of party for an anticipated USAID-funded justice sector project in Ghana.
The project will develop a criminal case tracking system to support the government of Ghana in effectively investigating and prosecuting criminal cases.
We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide overall vision and strategy for the implementation and direction of all project activities
  • Serve as the project's primary liaison with USAID, international and regional partners, and host-country government officials
  • Act as primary liaison with the Chemonics' Washington D.C. office in technical and managerial matters
  • Supervise technical and administrative staff, including the deputy chief of party and technical leads, ensuring staff are successfully managing project activities and operations
  • Work with government counterparts in defining project activities and targets, ensuring close collaboration
  • Oversee annual project work planning and establish procedures to measure the project's progress against the work plan

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience working on donor-funded development projects, with a focus on public administration reform, rule of law, or access to justice
  • Experience in Ghana preferred
  • 10 years of management experience, either as chief of party or in a comparable role on donor-funded development projects
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree; J.D. or master's degree with a focus in justice sector reform or related field preferred
