Career Management Centre is seeking to fill the position of a Chef cum Housekeeper for a hotel based in Nyeri town.

Overall Purpose:

In charge of Chef Duties and Overall Housekeeping in the Hotel

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Innovative in menus and recipe creating
    Develop and institute cost controls
  • Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen
  • Create/develop a food preparation handbook and implement it
  • Reconcile stocks and monitor food and price costs
  • Manage outside catering

    Housekeeper

  • Create work schedule of staff
  • Maintain inventory of house and periodic stock taking
  • Ensure all rooms are clean and all items are in place daily. Those that require to be changed daily are changed.
  • Train and supervise the room cleaners

    Qualifications

  • The candidate should be between 28 and 35 years of age,
  • Relevant diploma,
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the two positions at supervisory level and should be able to write reports and be a team player.
  • Experience in Indian and Chinese cooking will be an added advantage
  • Are honest and of high integrity
