Job Description

Charter Ventures Apparel Ethiopia is engaged in the manufacturing of knitted and crocheted wearing (including sportswear) within Adama Industrial Park (AIP). We would like to hire professionals for the positions of Senior Accountant.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Handling and monitoring of company accounts

Prepare financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information

Maintaining costing system and keeps record of all revenues and expenditures

Reconciliation of bank accounts and accounts of customers and vendors

Facilitate an external audit process and work with internal auditors

Managing the company payroll system

Managing the fixed asset register

Monitoring and reporting on KPIs

Involvement with procurement, freight out and warehousing

Provide financial information to top managers and support factory department heads

Ensure proper coding, documentation and monitoring of each and every transaction

Job Requirements

Qualification, Experience and Skills

BA in Accounting or Finance with five (05) years and above experience in accounting and finance fields preferably in investment and business development related sectors

Experience in manufacturing operations especially textile and apparel sector

Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax law, banking laws and procedures

Strong communication , planning, problem-solving and organizational skills

Good knowledge of writing reports and business correspondence

Good working knowledge of finance and accounting software and/or related systems
