CFK Africa Youth Development Network Director Jobs in Kenya


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic, technical and operational leadership of YDN, integrating components and expanding beyond Kibera.

  • Establish shared standards for youth onboarding, identity, data, quality and safeguarding.

  • Own digital infrastructure and steward youth data, ensuring consent and privacy.

  • Build structures for genuine youth ownership of priorities and governance.

  • Build coalitions with government, corporations, NGOs and employers.

  • Cultivate diverse revenue streams and sustainability models.

  • Serve on Executive Management Team, aligning strategy with programming.

  • Lead and motivate YDN team; develop monitoring frameworks to assess outcomes.

    Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Global Youth Development, Public Health, Technology Development, Business Strategies or related field (Bachelor’s with 12+ years’ exceptional experience may be considered).

  • Minimum 10 years’ work experience in tech development, entrepreneurship, global development or strategy, including senior leadership in Kenya and another East African country.

  • Demonstrated technological literacy and proficiency with digital tools.

  • Experience with digital platforms, social media and online community building.

  • Proven success writing proposals and securing funding.

  • Understanding of data protection and safeguarding in digital youth programming.

  • Strong systems thinking and ability to connect programs into a coherent network.
