CFK Africa Communications & Media Manager Jobs in Kenya


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of Youth Media Corps, mentoring young creators.

  • Build capacity through training, mentorship and editorial support.

  • Set and drive CFK’s and YDN’s external communications and brand strategy.

  • Lead media relations and manage reputational issues.

  • Manage digital presence — website, social media and multimedia channels.

  • Contribute to donor‑facing communications and campaigns.

  • Develop sustainability pathways for Youth Media Corps.

  • Lead and motivate communications team; manage budgets and procurement.

  • Define indicators for reach, engagement and narrative change.

    Requirements

  • Master’s degree in communications, journalism, media, marketing or social sciences (Bachelor’s with exceptional experience may be considered).

  • 7+ years’ progressive experience in communications or media.

  • Proven track record building a brand and delivering high‑quality content.

  • Demonstrated success managing budgets.

  • Strong media relations networks.

  • Experience mentoring youth or community media programs.

  • Hands‑on multimedia production skills or strong directing experience.
