Central Bank of Kenya Manager - Central Banking Programs Jobs



Job Purpose

The role holder will research, design, market, and implement quality, customer‑driven technical programs for the Central Bank of Kenya.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic training and development programs for CBK and regional central banks.

  • Engage strategic partners, experts, and resource persons to deliver professional training on emerging central banking issues.

  • Position the Institute as a world‑class knowledge hub and center of excellence for central banking programs.

    Technical & Operational Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CBK departments to develop and implement technical programs supporting CBK’s mandate.

  • Prepare annual training objectives, session plans, and performance reports.

  • Identify training needs in consultation with CBK departments.

  • Market central banking courses to regional central banks.

  • Provide assessment‑based training in selected CBK areas.

  • Monitor development of training and promotional materials.

  • Oversee delivery, evaluation, and quality assurance of programs.

  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys to inform program improvements.

  • Respond to training enquiries from CBK departments, stakeholders, and partners.

  • Coordinate reimbursement of training costs and oversee invoicing of clients.

  • Open and close training programs.

    Other Responsibilities

  • Mentor and coach staff in the section.

  • Draft talking notes for speakers and resource persons.

  • Develop and monitor training and workshop budgets.

  • Design and develop promotional materials (brochures, folders, memorabilia).

  • Perform any other
    duties as assigned by the Head of Division/Management.

    Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, Education, or related field from a reputable university.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Economics, or related discipline.

  • PhD in Business or related field (added advantage).

  • Membership of a relevant professional association (added advantage).

    Work Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years’ progressive experience in developing, designing, and implementing capacity‑building programs for central banking.

  • Strong knowledge of trends in skills training and competencies.
