Central Bank of Kenya Deputy Manager - Hospitality & Housekeeping Services Jobs; The role holder will support the Head, Hospitality Services in overseeing outsourced operations including Catering, Laundry, Accommodation, Gardening, and Cleaning of public areas. He/She will ensure service quality, compliance with health and safety standards, efficient coordination with internal departments, and continuous improvement of guest and staff experience. The role also supervises Hospitality and Housekeeping officers and acts as the key liaison with outsourced service providers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of Hospitality, Cleaning, and Gardening services strategy.

  • Lead operationalization of SLAs, quality standards, and performance indicators.

  • Participate in needs assessment and planning for service improvements.

  • Contribute to budgeting, procurement planning, and resource allocation.

  • Provide insights for vendor evaluations, contract renewals, and service enhancements.

  • Ensure robust internal controls to mitigate risks.

    Technical & Operational Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day‑to‑day supervision of Catering, Laundry, Housekeeping, Gardening, and outsourced cleaning.

  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, gardens, and service facilities.

  • Ensure accommodation facilities are clean, maintained, and adequately stocked.

  • Oversee hygiene standards in food production, service, and waste management.

  • Review cleaning schedules, deep‑cleaning plans, and ground maintenance.

  • Address service gaps, complaints, and escalations.

  • Verify compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

  • Coordinate hospitality support for conferences, events, and delegations.

  • Supervise Hospitality Services Officers, Housekeeping Officers, and Cleaners/Assistants.

  • Prepare operational reports including inspection summaries, compliance reports, and incident logs.

  • Provide innovative solutions within vendor contract limits.

    Other Responsibilities

  • Hold regular meetings with vendors to address client feedback.

  • Participate in vendor selection, tender evaluations, and onboarding.

  • Provide training and coaching to staff and outsourced supervisors.

  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and risk mitigation measures.

  • Ensure documentation of service records, logs, and inventories.

  • Perform any other duty as assigned by the Head, Hospitality & Housekeeping Services.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, Housekeeping Management, or related field.

  • Professional certification in Housekeeping, Food Safety, Contract/Vendor Management, or Facilities Operations (advantage).

  • Training in OHS, HACCP, or hygiene standards (advantage).

  • Working knowledge of hospitality operations, accommodation standards, cleaning systems, and outsourcing frameworks.

    Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
