Main Purpose of the Job
Create reliable, scalable and efficient software solutions that address specific user needs and contribute to the success of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain web applications using Laravel, React, Next.js and C#.
Design and optimize databases using MySQL and MongoDB.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and deliver new software features.
Write clean, scalable and efficient code.
Debug, troubleshoot and resolve software defects.
Participate in code reviews and follow industry best practices for development and security.
Continuously explore new technologies and improve development practices.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze software requirements.
Design software architecture and create technical specifications based on project needs.
Develop software applications using clean, maintainable and efficient coding practices.
Perform thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve defects or issues.
Ensure software meets quality standards, performance requirements and security guidelines.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback on code quality.
Work closely with project managers, designers and testers to ensure effective project execution.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, programming languages and industry trends.
Provide support and maintenance for existing software applications.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and best practices.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
Minimum two (2) years of experience in software development.
Proven experience in software development with a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Proficiency in relevant programming languages and development frameworks.
Experience with databases, APIs and software development best practices is an added advantage.
Demonstrated experience designing, developing and supporting software solutions.
Proven experience with PHP Laravel, C#, React and Next.js.
Strong understanding of MySQL and MongoDB database design and management.
Familiarity with API
development and integration.
Experience using version control tools such as Git.
Experience with web development technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks is an added advantage.
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL queries.
Knowledge of software testing and debugging techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as within a team.
A portfolio of personal projects or previous software development work is highly desirable.
Candidates must have remained with at least one employer for a minimum of two (2) consecutive years, demonstrating stability and commitment in previous roles.
