CDL Human Resource Teller – Forex & Remittance Jobs in Kenya;The Retail Sales & Service Officer (Teller) provides frontline customer service in foreign exchange, money remittance, and cash handling operations. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, accuracy in transaction processing, effective customer support, and proper cash management while upholding client service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Forex

  • Buy and sell currency to and from customers.

  • Collect documentation from new customers (National ID or passport).

  • Register clients in the Fabit system for future transactions.

  • Enter transactions in Fabit and issue receipts.

  • Issue declaration forms for transactions exceeding one million KES and ensure supporting evidence.

  • Raise compliance/MLRO concerns for PEP customers before transactions.

    Remittance

  • Assist Western Union, MoneyGram, and Fx customers with sending/receiving money.

  • Conduct due diligence with KYC forms capturing source/purpose of funds, remitter/recipient relationship, contacts, and address.

  • Carry out Mpesa transactions ensuring proper KYC.

  • Balance currency and coin in cash drawers at end of shifts.

  • Prepare daily transaction reports.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of O‑level education.

  • 1–3 years’ experience
    as a teller in forex bureau, Sacco, or mobile banking (MPESA).

    Required Experience

  • Operations, cash handling, banking, remittance, payments, or financial services operations.

    Required Skills / Competencies

  • Strong numerical and reconciliation skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and cash‑management skills.

  • Knowledge of transaction processing and internal controls.

  • Understanding of KYC and AML/CFT requirements.

    Other Specific Requirements

  • Ability to handle cash and sensitive financial information responsibly.
