CDL Human Resource Teacher-Njabini Jobs in Kenya; Deliver high‑impact instruction aligned with Competency‑Based Education (CBE) curriculum while implementing Gender‑Transformative Education (GTE). Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and child‑centered learning environment that promotes equity, safeguards students, and fosters holistic development.

Key Responsibilities

Child Protection & Safeguarding

  • Set and uphold behavioural expectations using positive discipline strategies.

  • Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.

  • Act as a trusted adult and first responder to student needs.

    Curriculum & Instructional Excellence
  • Design effective lesson plans and projects aligned to curriculum standards.

  • Deliver engaging instruction using diverse strategies to accommodate different learning styles.

  • Develop teaching aids and learning materials tailored to learners’ interests.

  • Administer and grade assessments, using data to improve teaching and learning.

    Student Development
  • Support students in exploring career pathways and nurturing talents.

  • Plan and execute in‑class and outdoor learning activities.

  • Engage parents and caregivers through established communication channels.

  • Observe and report incidents of violence, neglect, or child abuse.

    Collaboration & Professional Growth
  • Maintain positive relationships with parents, students, and stakeholders.

  • Participate in professional development and FKA network activities.

  • Collaborate with social work teams to provide individualized student support.

  • Contribute to special projects and committees advancing FKA’s mission.

    Additional Duties
  • Supervise assemblies, school meals, arrivals, and student release.

  • Participate in co‑curricular
    activities and school events.

  • Support coverage for colleagues during absences.

    Requirements for Appointment

    Education
  • Bachelor of Education (Science) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics.

  • MUST be TSC registered.

    Experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a child‑centric CBO, NGO, or school environment.

    Skills & Competencies
  • Strong subject expertise in at least three learning areas.

  • Knowledge of CBC delivery approach and best teaching practices.

  • ICT integration skills in teaching and learning.

  • Firm commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

  • Strong classroom management and problem‑solving skills.

  • Effective communication and presentation abilities.

  • Leadership qualities with adaptability and commitment to excellence.

    Additional Requirements
  • Incident‑free Children’s Check and National Police Check (Certificate of Good Conduct).

  • Willingness to work weekends, after hours, and travel occasionally.

  • Ability to adapt to occasional interruptions in power and internet access.
