CDL Human Resource Senior Software Developer Jobs in Kenya
Main Purpose of the Job
Create reliable, scalable and efficient software solutions that address user needs and contribute to the success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain web applications using Laravel, React, Next.js and C#.
Design and optimize databases using MySQL and MongoDB.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and deliver new software features.
Write clean, scalable, maintainable and efficient code.
Debug, troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
Participate in code reviews and follow industry best practices for software development and security.
Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and improve development practices.
Gather and analyze software requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
Design software architecture and prepare technical specifications based on project requirements.
Develop software applications that meet business and user needs.
Perform thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve defects.
Ensure software meets quality standards, performance expectations and security requirements.
Provide constructive feedback and receive input through code review processes.
Collaborate with project managers, designers and testers to ensure successful project delivery.
Stay informed about programming languages, frameworks and industry trends.
Provide support and maintenance for existing software applications.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in software development.
Proven understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
(SDLC).
Demonstrated experience designing, developing and supporting complex software solutions.
Proven experience with PHP Laravel, C#, React and Next.js.
Strong understanding of MySQL and MongoDB database design and management.
Familiarity with API development and integration.
Experience using version control tools such as Git.
Experience with web development technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks is an added advantage.
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL queries.
Knowledge of software testing and debugging techniques.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
A portfolio of personal projects or previous software development work is highly desirable.
Candidates must have remained with at least one employer for a minimum of two (2) consecutive years, demonstrating stability and commitment in previous roles.
