CDL Human Resource Senior Operations Manager-Hospitality Jobs in Kenya
Role Purpose
Provide overall strategic oversight, coordination and performance management across housekeeping, transportation, unit operations, repairs and maintenance, and office operations.
Translate company objectives into operational priorities, ensure budget compliance, enforce quality standards and promote effective cross-departmental coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership and Governance
Provide management oversight and direction to departmental managers, supervisors and team leaders.
Review operational performance regularly and hold departmental leaders accountable for results, corrective actions and closure of outstanding issues.
Identify recurring operational challenges, determine root causes and implement sustainable process improvements.
Departmental Oversight
Housekeeping Operations
Oversee the Housekeeping Manager to ensure compliance with SOPs, hygiene standards, inspection requirements, inventory controls and timely unit readiness.
Transportation and Logistics
Oversee transport operations, route scheduling, fuel efficiency, vehicle licensing and insurance, preventive maintenance and safety compliance.
Unit Operations and Readiness
Ensure high presentation standards across all units.
Manage check-in and check-out readiness, defect resolution, unit onboarding and offboarding processes.
Repairs and Maintenance
Manage maintenance workflows, preventive maintenance schedules, vendor contracts, repair quality checks and emergency issue escalation.
Office Operations
Provide administrative oversight to maintain a secure, functional and well-supplied workplace environment.
Reporting Requirements
Weekly Reports
Departmental performance updates.
Unit readiness status.
Incident reports.
Priority action updates.
Monthly Reports
Operating cost reviews.
Maintenance performance reviews.
Transportation performance reviews.
Inventory management reports.
Service quality assessments.
Quarterly Reports
Operational improvement recommendations.
Staffing reviews and workforce planning recommendations.
Resource planning and optimization proposals.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Experience
Minimum four (4) years of operational experience.
At least two (2) years in a management role.
Experience in hospitality, serviced apartments, property management or facilities management is preferred.
Working knowledge of housekeeping, maintenance, transportation, procurement, budgeting, reporting and operational cost management.
Proven ability to lead departmental teams, manage vendors and resolve cross-functional operational issues.
