CDL Human Resource Senior HR Officer – Warehouse & Outsourced Labour Management Jobs in Kenya; To provide HR and administrative support to our client’s outsourced warehouse team.The ideal candidate should have experience managing large outsourced teams within a fast-paced FMCG or warehouse environment and be flexible to work both day and night shifts. Operational exposure will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Workforce Planning & Resourcing

Lead resourcing for all vacant positions within warehouse and site operations

Coordinate recruitment with HR teams, hiring managers, and outsourced labor providers

Ensure manpower planning aligns with operational demand, productivity targets, and budget

Support succession planning for key positions

HR Operations & Compliance

Ensure adherence to HR procedures including recruitment, induction, confirmation, separation, discipline, salary inputs, training, and appraisals

Monitor compliance with labor laws, company policies, and internal controls

Act as site custodian for audits and HR compliance reviews

Employee Lifecycle Management

Oversee induction of new employees on policies, procedures, and site regulations

Ensure timely creation and approval of employee email and system access

Manage staff separation processes including documentation and exit reporting

Attendance, Leave & Utilization Management

Monitor attendance, absenteeism, and leave utilization against KPIs

Ensure leave planning and liability management

Review attendance summaries to support payroll and vendor invoicing

Outsourced Labor & Vendor Management

Coordinate with outsourced labor providers to meet workforce needs

Verify subcontracted labor invoices against attendance and approved rates

Monitor HR service provider KPIs and conduct performance reviews

Employee Relations & Discipline

Handle disciplinary matters in line with company policy and labor law

Support grievance handling, dispute resolution, and investigations

Manage employee relations to maintain a productive workplace

Participate in works council and

industrial relations forums

Health, Safety & Wellbeing

Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards

Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and wellbeing

Coordinate with HSE teams on compliance and corrective actions

Reporting & Analytics

Prepare HR reports on workforce utilization, leave trends, turnover, training, and engagement

Provide insights and recommendations to leadership

HR Administration & Site Support

Oversee day-to-day HR & Admin desk operations

Ensure proper filing, documentation, and renewal of certificates

Manage administrative support such as stationery and staff meals

Attend toolbox talks, site meetings, record minutes, and drive closure of action items

People Management

Lead and develop the site HR team

Delegate operational tasks while maintaining governance and accountability

Build HR capability to support high-volume operations

Qualifications

Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent

Knowledge of labor laws

Member of IHRM

CHRP certification is a MUST

Experience

Minimum 5 years’ HR experience, 3 years as Senior HR Officer

Experience managing large outsourced teams in FMCG/warehouse environment

Flexibility to work day and night shifts

Operational exposure is an added advantage
