CDL Human Resource PLC/DLC Boiler Supervisor Jobs in Kenya; Supervise and oversee the safe, efficient, and reliable operation and maintenance of PLC/DLC‑controlled boilers (~20 TPH capacity) connected to a turbine, ensuring optimal performance, continuous steam supply, compliance with safety standards, and effective team performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure employee safety through effective implementation of standards.

  • Direct and supervise operation of boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment.

  • Coordinate with Engineering for electrical power production, including unit start‑ups and shutdowns.

  • Troubleshoot and correct plant operating problems affecting safety, environment, and reliability.

  • Document operating problems clearly to expedite repairs.

  • Coordinate work with maintenance and technical departments.

  • Provide training and mentorship to operators.

  • Supervise housekeeping duties and maintain site tidiness.

  • Maintain reliable operational records and performance metrics.

  • Prepare daily reports and facilitate morning operations meetings.

  • Conduct plant performance reviews (daily, weekly, monthly).

  • Set clear goals and standards for performance and hold personnel accountable.

  • Assign tasks, complete documentation, and direct emergency response.

  • Respond immediately to emergencies and implement corrective actions.

  • Conduct planned and unplanned maintenance safely and efficiently.

  • Oversee operation of boilers and related machines.

  • Supervise fuel
    hopper operations, maintain fuel levels, and monitor unloading processes.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


    Accountabilities

  • Direct and supervise operations of boilers and water heating systems.

  • Oversee maintenance activities of boilers.

  • Plan and coordinate training of boiler operators.


    Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Plant option).

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in boiler operation and maintenance in industrial/manufacturing environments.

  • Proven experience operating PLC/DLC‑controlled boiler systems.

  • Experience with boilers of ~20 TPH capacity connected to turbines.

  • Hands‑on supervision of boiler operations and maintenance activities.
