CDL Human Resource Head of ICT - Microfinance Jobs in Kenya; To lead the organization’s ICT function, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient systems that support business operations and strategic growth. The role oversees ICT infrastructure, information security, digital transformation, systems support, and technology solutions that enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

ICT Strategy & Leadership

Develop and implement ICT strategies aligned with business goals.

Provide leadership and direction to the ICT team.

Drive digital transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and customer experience.

ICT Infrastructure & Systems Management

Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware, software, networks, and communication systems.

Ensure performance, scalability, and security of core systems including credit management systems, databases, and digital platforms.

Manage system upgrades, vendor relationships, and IT procurement.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

Implement and monitor information security measures.

Lead cybersecurity initiatives including threat monitoring, incident response, penetration testing, and disaster recovery.

Ensure compliance with ICT policies, laws, and regulatory requirements.

Systems Support & User Training

Oversee helpdesk operations and timely resolution of IT issues.

Ensure documentation of systems, processes, and disaster recovery protocols.

Coordinate user training to enhance system utilization and digital literacy.

ICT Governance & Compliance

Develop and enforce ICT policies, standards, and procedures.

Ensure data integrity, backups, and business continuity plans.

Conduct regular IT audits to assess effectiveness and improvements.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Identify and implement new technologies to improve efficiency.

Support development of digital products including mobile apps, portals, and CRM tools.

Analyze ICT trends and make strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

& Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

Master’s Degree in IT, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or Business (advantage).

7–10 years’ ICT experience, with 3+ years in leadership.

Experience in financial services, banking, microfinance, credit systems, or fintech (mandatory).

Strong knowledge of ICT infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, cybersecurity frameworks, database management, ERP, loan management systems, CRM, and data protection compliance.

Proven project management experience from initiation to completion.

Demonstrated work experience in microfinance industry or Tier III bank.
